I had seen many beautiful pictures of the golden desert town. Especially of the lake with a beautifully built backdrop. After I had checked in contentedly in a new, but on old made hotel, I wandered off to a first exploration tour. Unfortunately, the water in the lake was a bit scarce and so the pictures in my head had little to do with reality.
The next day I went to the fortress, which rose majestically above the city. The city center up there surprised me with a multitude of mysterious alleys, ornate worked houses and a small palace. The very special atmosphere of this place in the desert was really magical and so I just let myself drift away.
In the evening, on the beautiful roof terrace together with the restaurant of the hotel, I felt a deep satisfaction. Here in this seclusion I liked it and I had the desire to stay a little longer or to absolutely want to come back again. The young chef was trying his best and was preparing fantastic food in his tiny kitchen on the roof. As night fell and the muezzin sounded exemplary beautiful and I looked soulfully at the city and fortress, I knew that this should have been one of the most beautiful stops of the trip.
